Description: Marine Science - Grades 1-3
The purpose of this project is to introduce young people to different marine science topics including, phytoplankton, zooplankton, sponges, seaweed, seashells, and sharks. Teaching aides include a box of shells for identification, and Gulf of Mexico Treasure Hunt.

Description: Aquatic and Marine Ecosystems - Grades 4-6

Fun interactive and educational activities teach youth about concepts related to Florida’s aquatic/marine ecosystems. In addition the activities also promote the concept of good stewardship in the use and management of these valuable natural resources. Projects, experiments, games and activity sheets are provided in an easy to use format. Teaching aides include video of coastal inhabitants. Chapters 1, 2, 3 are valuable tools before you come to the Wetland Wildlife tour or the Aquatic and Native Plant Area.
