Required Curriculum: Plant Connections Lesson 2
Program Available: Weekdays
This tour focuses on food-producing plants from around the world. In addition to seeing unusual plants that give us familiar products, topics like food miles, sustainable harvest and fair trade are gently introduced. During the tour we discover the following plants; banana, pineapple coffee, vanilla, sugarcane, mango, papaya, chocolate, coconut, rice, and peanuts. We will learn what part of the plant is used and where in the world it grows.
