While walking through a restored pine flatwoods filled with native plants and wildlife, learn about this Florida fire dependent ecosystem, find out why we need to manage natural areas, and discover interesting facts about the wildlife that call it home.

Tracking Wildlife
Shhh, and watch your step! We are tracking wildlife. Students will become acquainted with some of Florida’s animal tracks and lean how wildlife biologists use plaster casts to preserve them. Each student will be given the choice of an animal track and will create a cast to take home. Allow 1 hour for this activity. Materials supplied by Extension; cost $3 per person. Minimum 20 students.
