' Ambersweet ' orange
A Sweet Orange Hybrid released by the USDA in 1989
- a moderately vigorous, medium sized, upright growing tree
- moderately cold tolerant
- has medium to large slightly pear to oval shaped fruit
- 21/2 - 33/4 inches in diameter
- the peel is thick and pebbly, and peels easily
- best used for juicing and eating
- 'Ambersweet' has 9 segments and 0-5 seeds (if cross pollination occurs there could be more seeds)
- fruit can be picked October - January
