4-H Youth Development

The 4-H program strives to offer school age children the opportunity to learn about topics they enjoy in an inclusive environment.  This means a 4-H member makes new friends and feels safe to be oneself while learning and participating in 4-H activities.

Pinellas County 4-H continues to remain relevant and responsive to changes in society. Whether a youth is interested in cows or engineering, the 4-H program utilizes a hands-on approach to education and building life skills. These life skills enable youth to become engaged citizens and the leaders of tomorrow.  Research has shown that youth who are involved in 4-H activities are less likely to become involved in negative activities and more likely to do better in school and plan to go to college.
