The Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP) is an environmental education opportunity developed by the University of Florida and provided by the Pinellas County Extension’s Wildlife department. This training is offered by registered FMNP instructors to anyone interested in learning more about natural Florida.
The goal of the program is to promote increased awareness and appreciation of Florida’s unique environmental resources. FMNP students are adults of all ages, both novice and experts in environmental studies, with experiences including being educators, eco-tourism guides, park employees, scout leaders, grandparents, Florida natives and brand new residents. This program isn’t about who knows the most—it is about Florida environmental learning, making new friends, having positive new life experiences and discovering new opportunities to make beneficial differences after you graduate.
